Yiaitzoglou W. Roberta
Roberta Yaitzoglu Watkinson is an illustrator, conceptual designer and sequential artist currently based in Athens, Greece. Often noted for her dots, dainty lines, pattern and puffy period sleeves, her illustrative work is borne of both her visual sensibility and her innate curiosity for fusing and adapting interests, unveiling the worlds of her subconscious. Her primary inspirations are ornate textiles, historical costume, cinematographic visuals, dreary weather and 80s pop songs. She has had her work exhibited and taken part in comic conventions and zine festivals around Greece, with the self-published titles: Scavengerists, Jabberwocky, Philippe: Happy as a Prince, the 10 women collaborative SMUTCOMIC.
She studied Graphic Design at the Athens University of Art and Design, specializing in Illustration.
